A President's Distinguished Club
Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs.
The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
University City Toastmasters is Philadelphia's premier toastmasters club, open to all. The club's vision is to provide everyone an opportunity to improve communication, presentation, and leadership skills. We believe the best way to develop confidence is through exposure to a supportive environment. You can work at your own pace and speak in your comfort zone without being compelled. Check us out!
Our meetings are creative and have unique flair of fun, yet maintain a level of professionalism. Our sessions provide easy learning of vital skills that can improve your professional, social, and personal life.
You will learn to speak comfortably in front of an audience and lead with purpose. You will develop the confidence to fulfill your potential and achieve your goals.
Every member will have a mentor and will eventually mentor a fellow member. Our structured mentoring program helps members grow and develop.
A commitment to fun, creative meeting programs. Everyone comes to learn but stays for the fun! We have social events to develop and nurture fellowship amongst members.
Congratulations to our member and past President Aaron Beverly,
2019 World Champion of Public Speaking!

DUE TO COVID-19, OUR MEETINGS WILL BE HELD VIRTUALLY VIA ZOOM
UNTIL IT IS SAFE TO RETURN TO IN-PERSON MEETINGS.
How does Toastmasters work?
Unlike many classes on public speaking and leadership, which focus on theory alone, Toastmasters members gain first hand experience by practicing what they learn. We practice a proven learn-by-doing approach by guiding our members in building skills and experiences starting with basics and gradually advancing. Members move at their own pace to reach their goals, supported and motivated by leaders and fellow community members.
I'm interested in checking out University City Toastmasters. What should I do next?
